If you installed an inkjet cartridge and the test page doesn't print out all of the colors then the printhead is clogged. The cradle holds the printhead placement for all the color cartridges. Some models can be removed easy by lifting a lever on the side of the cradle. Printhead cleaner can be purchased on-line. The printer must be turned off before solution is inserted into the cradles holes and set over night. A printhead will fail after 3 to 5 years, so its doesn't matter if you install original ink. The printer will not print if printhead is clogged or bad. The printer's printhead has circuit boards for each color on the back of it.

Printers are designed to print. A test page should be printed every two weeks for all inkjet model printers. A test page will show all colors without streaking. A cleaning cycle will help clear up any mild streaking. Please remember this test uses ink. The life of a printhead is 3-5 years. If it extremely clogged and sitting for months a deep cleaning cycle wont help. It doesn't matter if you install a brand new cartridges, compatible, or refill. The results will be the same.
We charge $20.00 up front for the first hour of cleaning inkjet printers. After, an hour then we allow it to sit over night then customer will be notified of the results the next business day.
A refill cartridge has the same amount of ink as a new one. However, the ink levels will not read. Only a compatible cartridge with new circuit will read ink levels. You can continue to print until its starts streaking if you continue the circuit will burn out and BMC TONER SOLUTIONS won't be able to refill it. If any problem while installing please call us. If the cartridge isn't reading gently wipe the gold circuit with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser of soft pencil eraser. Please check the cradle for ink on the connections where the cartridge sit. A soft Q-tips can clean it. Please never put anything damp inside the printer.
If it's a refilled Canon cartridges then please watch the video on how to reset it for the printer to accept it.
COMPATIBLE INKJETS

If the cartridge isn't streaking a solid line of color down the napkin then slightly wipe the bottom with a warm damp paper towel and be careful not to get any ink on your hands and finger. Windex, soap, and water will help clean up any ink.
Next, check the inside of the cradle where the cartridge sit for any ink. If ink is visible remove ink with a clean, dry Q-tip then reinstall the cartridge. The cartridge will start printing.
Some Models require both cartridges before printing. If your black is empty then the color cartridge if full will print an Army green color. Epson and HP Officejet Pro models which require four or more cartridges will not print if one cartridge is empty. The printer will stop printing. The ink levels can be check by tapping on the ink drop symbol from the touchscreen. Please wait until the cradle is stopped to remove inkjet cartridge.
